Tiny Trials vs Babylist Try-It Kit: An Honest Comparison
By Myranda Duma, Founder of Tiny Trials
If you have got a Babylist box and a Tiny Trials box open in two tabs right now, trying to work out which one to actually buy, let me save you some scrolling. I would rather tell you honestly what is in each than pretend mine is the only sensible choice. We are both trying to solve the same headache: helping you compare trusted brands before you commit to a full set of anything.
We are more alike than you might think
People assume the difference is name brands versus own-label. It is not. Both of us curate real, trusted brands you already know, Philips Avent, Lansinoh, Dr. Brown's and the like, into one box so you can try a few before buying a whole set of one. So let me get specific instead.
Bottles
Babylist's Bottle Box (about $24.99) gives you 5 bottles, names like Comotomo, Lansinoh, Dr. Brown's, Avent and Boon. Our Bottle Box ($34.99) gives you 5 newborn bottles too, with a slightly different mix including BIBS, Philips Avent, Lansinoh and Dr. Talbot's, chosen to span different nipple shapes and anti-colic styles. Honestly? These are close, and Babylist's is the cheaper one. If bottles are your only question and budget is tight, theirs is a fair shout. If you want our particular curation, ours is here.
Pacifiers
This is where we actually pull ahead. Babylist's Pacifier Box (about $19.99) has 6 pacifiers. Our Pacifier Box ($29.99) has 9 across 6 styles, plus a clip. If your baby is on a personal mission to reject every pacifier you own (mine was), more shapes to compare genuinely helps. You are paying a bit more, and you are getting more to try. Theirs is the lighter, cheaper option with a solid core set.
Glass bottles
Both of us do a glass option. Babylist's holds 4 bottles at around $24.99. Our Glass Bottle Box ($42.99) is the premium, fuller-curated end of this. If glass is a firm yes for you and you want the wider set, that is what ours is for.
So, honestly, which one?
If you want the lowest-cost way to sample a core set, especially alongside a Babylist registry you are already using, theirs does that nicely. If you want a wider comparison to really find what works, particularly with pacifiers, from a small team that does only this, that is us. There is no one-size-fits-all baby or family, and the best box is simply the one that helps you find what works for yours.
See the Tiny Trials boxes and compare for yourself.
